You can find this hard-to-resist flavor combination in really any chocolate or candy store. Milton Hershey (recognize that last name?) is credited for making chocolate caramel so popular, and recipes for chocolate caramels have been around since as early as the 1880s!
Here at Fatty Sundays we always knew we would have to make a caramel pretzel flavor, and just last year we launched our Salted Caramel pretzels! In honor of National Chocolate Caramel Day, read on to learn more about our caramel-flavored pretzels, and so much more.
Salted Caramel Pretzels
With the tagline ‘Stay Classy,’ this newest flavor is for the sophisticated. Inside a sleek black box you’ll find pretzels covered in decadent 70% dark chocolate and topped with rich caramel bits and sea salt. This flavor is slowly rising to bestseller status, and we’re not surprised. It is truly the epitome of sweet and salty. Our brand is known for its uber colorful and bright boxes (each matching the ‘feel’ of each pretzel flavor), and the classy black pretzel box really rounds out our rainbow color palette. We hardly use black in our branding - it’s always dark brown - so like true New Yorkers, we’re happy to have found the perfect avenue for which black has entered our color wheel.
Now, more about the pretzels themselves. The Salted Caramel flavor is basically Toffee’s sister. They’re very very similar flavors, but Salted Caramel is made with dark chocolate and more sea salt, and Toffee is sweeter with milk chocolate. Show up to your next dinner party or event with these gourmet treats, and you’ll certainly impress the host(ess)!
