It’s no wonder four women would come up with a new idea for chocolate covered pretzels. Women are not only known to have a creative edge but we love chocolate more than men do (and sometimes more than our men! just kidding!) Whether or not this is fact or fiction, there is no denying women take the (chocolate) “cake” when it comes to good taste (both having good taste and knowing what tastes good!)
Why do women love chocolate so much?
There is some scientific research out there showing that chocolate releases a chemical in the brain called phenylethylamine, the same chemical that is released in the brain when we fall in love. Furthermore, in moderation, chocolate can be good for you. Recent studies show that chocolate, especially dark chocolate, contains chemicals that can lower the risk of cancer and heart disease. The antioxidants in dark chocolate have shown to make a difference in cardiovascular health. Craving chocolate yet?! It’s not surprising that around Valentine’s Day we introduced a delicious, sweet, salty and spicy dark chocolate covered pretzel: Spicy Almond. It was our first dark chocolate covered pretzel flavor and we plan to create others in the future as well. (Have a dark chocolate flavor idea? Tell us! firstname.lastname@example.org)
We’ll leave you with the following thoughts…
Chocolate is associated with romance. Chocolate is associated with gift giving. Chocolate is associated with satisfying one’s sweet tooth. Chocolate is associated with desserts. Chocolate is associated with celebrations.
See a trend here?! Have you ever met a woman who doesn’t enjoy romance, gift giving, eating sweets and celebrating?! Hm…..
